SpeechFast is a macOS dictation app that turns speech into clean text at the cursor in any app. You hold the fn key, talk, and let go; about a second later the text is pasted, with fillers, repeats and false starts removed and punctuation fixed.
Everything runs on the Mac. Transcription uses on-device engines (Parakeet by default, Cohere Transcribe for higher accuracy, or Apple's built-in engine), clean-up uses Apple Intelligence, audio is never stored, and no account is needed. Parakeet covers 25 European languages and detects the language automatically, so you can switch languages between sentences.
